Hello World Indiana here ...If you read edition 2 of the Chronicle (you can read it by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.) You will know that Optica and I went to investigate the glass worms of Mars...Strange tube like satillite images on Mars. Well big deal. Martian Vallies with silt in them, not CONVEX: They are CONCAVE...An illusion of optics, or computer interpretation. Yet they are without a doubt river beds. The action of water. I then examined satillite images of Mars from the Malin space centre . I found this ( below).
However this is a real scoop...WATER on Mars...Remember you read it first in the Mars Chronicle;

The water is all underground in caverns, plenty of it, lakes and rivers. Tests reveal that the liquid is H�O with iron , limestone, and trace elements. You can drink it, no lifeforms are present within it at all.

What part of Mars are we looking at? This chart is in relationship with Hellas City, capital of Mars.

Finding water on Mars is better than finding gold. Yet the vast reservoirs of Mars in uncharted lakes are a shock to the imagination. This whole area of Mars in the south of the Planitia Acidalia is apparently honeycombed with huge titanic caverns, on different levels. Optica and I found 2 underground rivers ( the Aleph and Styx ) and the great lake which I named Xanadu.
I was not equipped to under take any further exploration haveing only construction and land reconnissance droids present...I will be coming back with a fully equipped expedition to press on further into the dark labyrinths of Mars.
I have three reasons to explore this Mars water world...First; is a definite current down there, the water is all going in the same direction, east. Second; its warm in the caverns, 13� Centigrade that means "a heating system" the water is between 11� and 13� C depending were its tested.
Third and the most amazing are traces of a civilisation , occupants, I assume that they inhabited the caverns...

Traces of a civilisation
As we carried no boats on this project "no point really on Mars" one was improvised from a plastic pod. It was not really stable so I did not venture to far. As well in the background very faint was a deep note, a muffled roar, falling water. I had no intention of being caught in a current that might possibly sweep me to a watery doom...To disappear forever into a black chasm in the depths of Mars.
Along the shore of lake Xanadu are huge blocks of stone which have apparently detached themselves from the cavern walls. As you can see I found a sculpture it is the upper torso of a humuniod image carved in a red stone which is as hard as granite...There was no trace of any other sculptures or sign of its origin nor any of the same type of stone within the area. Now although its human resemblance is striking apart from its large pointed ears that is, it is only the upper half of the figure it could have had a fishes or a serpents tail, I just do not know at the moment.

This is Hellas City on Mars...Home of the Chronicle, Capital City of Mars: This is a view of the south entrance pressure gate with the Mars express "Photon" just about to leave the city.
The domes of Hellas are made from polyaniline and are 3 metres thick (approx 9ft) they are part of the city meteor defense system, small meteorites just bounce off the domes. The missiles you see in the foreground right, are interceptors to destroy any meteor large enough to damage the domes. The air space above Hellas is constantly monitored.
The beams you can see are "Mars light & Power" laser power grid which uses huge reflectors set in the Hellas crater walls to contain the grid generated by the 22 solar power stations which "Mars light & Power" operate.
At the moment they city is populated only by Moltech droids; The city infra structure and power supplies are controlled by ORACC 2 (Online Rapid Access Central Computer) Operated By "The Global Matrixx" Earth. ORACC 2 controls all the droids, robots, systems, data, and logistics. Hellas city is were the ORACC 2 complex "Global Matrixx Mars" is located.
The city itself is underground the domes are used to bring down the power from the grid for light and heat.
As the city is pressurised it is not nessesary to consume Marsinium when you are in the city.
With the discovery of water Hellas will soon be ready for a human population, as of now it still remains the most exclusive place to live in the entire universe. As I wrote in edition 1 of the Chronicle will be talking to Edgar T Finhawke CEO of Solar System Real Estate about their plans for Hellas.
Pipeline: Lake Xanadu to Hellas
Breaking news, just in...SSRE want a pipe line; to be constructed from the Hellas city to lake Xanadu 10,000 Kilometres of pipeline...The construction contract has been awarded to the Mars construction company... Which again, is me "I am not short of business eh!" -O)....
