As we are gearing up to get this show on the road, it seemed like a good idea to hold a start-up membership drive special - no first year membership dues for the first 125 members - when the number goes to 126 - the payment button will be replaced - so tell your friends and club members to get in now. The more the merrier, eh? Of course after the 126 members, we will have to reinstate the yearly dues - after all, we need funds for award activities, shows, site maintenance, etc. etc. I�m posting this in the Gazette, so those reading have a fair shot at the getting in on the special, too. Sure it�s fun having our friends sign up - but it�s fun to meet new people, too.
Here is how to tell your guests to sign up:
It�s simple.
- Go to the forum and register.
- When you get to the Paypal button, stop.
- DON�T GO ANY FURTHER.
- When you get your confirmation email, confirm your registration.
- Again, you will be taken to the paypal button and reminded that you must pay to activate your membership.
STOP. DO NOT PAY.
Your part is now complete.
As webmaster, I will be notified of your registration, and I will personally activate your membership and designate you as a VIP charter member eligible to enjoy all the membership benefits of Rockhound Station 1.
This is a special offer for our official start-up and will not be repeated.
